The People's Map of London covers 400 sq km stretching from Richmond Park in the
South West to Epping Forest in the North East. The rest of Greater London (inside
the M25) is in final verification and will be available early in 2010.
The London product is available in either raster or vector file formats based on
the British National Grid coordinate system.
The Raster Product is a high quality 1:12,000 cartographically designed product
which is ideal for use online, in GIS systems, and for publishing and printing purposes.
It consists of sixteen 5 km by 5 km tiles which contain Roads, Streets and Paths,
Place Names, Land Use, Major Buildings, Points of Interest, Tube, Rail and Tram
Stations, Railways, Rivers and Canals, London District Admin Boundaries and Postcode
Sector information.
This product is available either as a full colour or greyscale image in TIFF, JPEG
or ECW format, but other formats are available on request. The maps can be supplied
on CD/DVD, via FTP Download or via a WMS feed.
The Vector Product, for use by cartographers, graphic designers and analysts,
is available either as an Adobe Illustrator file or as GIS layers. GIS file formats
include MapInfo Tab, MapInfo Mid/Mif and ESRI Shape. There are eleven layers (see
below), containing over 600 classifications.

Pricing and Licensing
The People's Map is purchased on a perpetual licence, which is significantly more
cost affective in the long run compared to other competitors' pricing structures.
Data can be purchased on a one off or annual update basis.
All the data is free from third party copyright and we claim no IPR on Derived or
Associated data.
Prices for a single 5km by 5km tile range from £10 (for the use of a raster tile
on a single terminal) to £160 (for use of vector data in a corporate environment).
For those who wish to create their own end-user product or service based on the
People's Map, we will negotiate fair and flexible licensing terms.
Map Coverage
The People's Map of London covers a 400km2 area with the centre point
of the map based around Westminster. The map covers an area from Richmond Park in
the South West to Epping Forest in the North East.
This product was created as part of a larger project, divided into 6 phases. Phase
1 is complete and phases 2 to 6, covering the remainder of the Greater London area,
are now in the production which is scheduled for completion during the first half
of 2010. The extent of this Greater London product is illustrated in the image below.
